Innovative products of premium German quality

Solarwatt is investing abundantly in innovation. In the Solarwatt Technology Center, every day we are occupied with research and development aimed at high-end production and continue investment in future-proof solutions. Our vision is to not consider products and solutions as single components, but as a complete system, in order to be able to offer the best fitting total solution to customers. Solarwatt solar panels are produced worldwide, in accordance with our high quality standards. In 2021 we opened a new production line in our plant in Dresden, for the application of new module technologies. Making this investment we took a large step in the increasing capacity and efficiency of the Solarwatt glass-glass solar panels. Additionally, since 2020, our innovation team has been part of the ‘’Future Campus for Innovation and Business” in Keulen-Hürth, where we collaborate with twee top universities.

As a German brand, quality is our strength. Solarwatt products are tested extensively, to be able to deliver top performance. Different studies have assessed our solar panels as ‘very good’. And this quality can be found in our warranty: a 30-year all-in warranty on Solarwatt solar panels and a free all-risk insurance. Since quality is the main factor for us, we will never make any concessions on, or make cost-reducing choices which could be at the expense of our quality.

INNOVATION

Solarwatt & BMW

Solarwatt is nearly 100% owned by Stefan Quandt, main shareholder of BMW. Due to the close collaboration with BMWi, Solarwatt has one of the most automated and innovative plants in the world. The entire production is performed by smart robots that ensure a continuous production of high quality. We use original BMW-parts that we merge into our innovative solutions. Using this method, we developed our new home battery SOLARWATT Battery flex together with BMW. All parts were meticulously aligned.

After all, only a well-combined solar-energy system will ensure the highest yield!

GERMAN QUALITY

Production locations worldwide and our test laboratory

Solarwatt has production locations worldwide. In the plant in Dresden we have an own test laboratory, accredited by the VDE. That is where we expose our solar panels to extreme tests to guarantee the high quality and safety of our products. In addition, we have offices in the Netherlands, Australia, France, Great-Britain, Italy and Spain, from where we serve local markets. We have a solid network of partners and installers in more then 50 countries.
